Made it through 3

Somehow we're already through 3 of these treatments. My experience each time was nearly the same - slightly more achy after my neulasta shot this time. Apparently the neulasta keeps working and the aches come where you are producing white blood cells. It kind of makes sense that it would be more achy each time. It still wasn't unbearable. I took some tylenol and naps and reminded people when hugging me to take it easy. It's over now. No aches.

I made it through Monday with the help of Kama & Claire who made pancakes and let me nap, Ellen who had Jacqueline over for a play-date and Leigh who made us a home cooked dinner. Tuesday is the 'getting back to normal' day so I feel like we made it through 3 of 4 safely. One more of these weekends and then I see the surgeon , Dr. Lee, again. Right now the plan is laid out for me to continue right into the next treatment set of 4. The side effects are supposed to be milder although I think that many people suffer more nausea than I have on this first set. It may be similar or better without even the mild nausea that I experience. In any case it's only 4 times.

Your kind words continue to lift my moods in those moments that I need them to. So many have said or written such wonderful messages. I get them on the blog, in the mail, on the phone and via email. It's really important to me to hear from you all and I am grateful that you take the time to read this and share your thoughts with me.

Hi Jennifer--It's Aunt Amy's sister Sue. Just wanted you to know that I am sending you positive vibes from the PA countryside. I hope you continue to feel better and better. Your positive outlook inspiring.

Still adjusting to life here, even though it's almost 2 years. Maddie is 12-1/2 and Den a month shy of 8. We miss my Dad.

Your children are adorable. Regards to Kama and your parents.
Love,
Sue
