Quick update

I don't really have much to report but it's been a few days and I know that many of you check in to see what's happening.

Well here it is: we're HOT! I am so glad that we signed up at the town pool and that Jacqueline has swim lessons this week. It's going to keep this week moving for sure. We are having a picnic lunch after lessons today and then back to the pool with her pals. I got to talking with 2 women that I've met through Jacqueline's kindergarten. Both are being sweet and helpful - offering meals & play-dates. People really want to help and I've decided to accept the help as graciously as I can. It is really nice to not have to think about dinner. It's a break, and sometimes before I NEED the break, which is also good. Keeps me from hitting that point of exhaustion.

I got the ball rolling yesterday with the second opinion/consultation at Sloan-Kettering. I'll keep you posted about when/where that all happens. Dana called me on Friday and gave me a breast surgeon referral as well as offered her help in any way she can (she's an attending there).

For today I am thrilled to be going to the pool. I love hearing from friends old & new, near & far, and you are always close to my heart. I should have told you more often. I will from here on in. There is a genuine feeling in me that I am lucky. I attribute that to my kids, my family and friends and just knowing that this is a chapter that I can see coming to a close. On the other side, in the next segment, things are going to be lighter and brighter. We are all going to be stronger, smarter and more grateful about the things that matter to us the most. So as my wristband says "LIVESTRONG".

It sounds like you have a nice day planned. I think we'll be doing the sprinkler thing later... there's just something sooo cute about little feet running around in a stream of water while they laugh and scream like maniacs. Anyhoo... you sound good, and that makes me very happy. Enjoy your day! I love you -Molly :)

wow! i would pay big $$$'s to see your father demonstrate a cannonball and walrus, koo-koo-ka-choo (smile).

what a delightful treat to interact on your blog with just reading about a summer day in the life of the webb-ette's.

being that i am the designated expander of your arsenal of decadent treats, tomorrow a package of cocovia is winging its way northward.

after all, how could i resist sending to you real chocolate pleasure with real heart health benefits, hmmmm?

enjoy the water. thank you, molly, for reminding me of the splish splash sound of diminutive yaba-dab-a-doo feet frolicking in the pleasure of water.

love ya baby cakes,
~ c
