I've been looking into a "Breast PAP Test" which is a non-invasive screening more powerful than a mammogram at detecting earliest changes on a cellular level. By the time we find a lump, it is often beyond the most treatable stages. Like my lump was classified as Stage 3 breast cancer (primarily due to size) and had never been detected in annual exams (I went regularly and did self exams occasionally). You may want to ask your physician about this test, or look into it yourselves and consider doing it.

This is the company web site, so you may want to do a little objective research as well. I'll let you know what I find out about it - I'll be asking the doctors over the next few weeks for sure and maybe getting the test myself.

thank you! for this valuable information. i called the company in irvine, ca after watching the news clip and the corporate video to locate a physician in atlanta. no such luck but there is one physician, dr. bloom, in columbus. i think my ta-ta's are worth a 2 hour drive, right?
typing of which, #8 is here. how did the time pass so quickly from 04/23/07 when you broke the news to me to 07/27/07, your last chemo treatment and now, you have a plethora of follicles sprouting?
your wonderful blog has been in existence for nearly three months. how did that happen?
me thinkest it is largely attributable to you and your inimitable "thinking right" about this life altering experience.
