I hugged myself.

I'm still smiling from yesterday. Funny to think that the words "I can get a lumpectomy" would ever bring a smile. I just feel so much better about it all knowing that the option is there and will be explored.

So I sent Jacqueline home with Kama this afternoon and put Bailey and I both down for a nap. I was so sleepy. But once I laid down I felt a little wired. I wrapped my arms around my chest in a self-hug and I just smiled, closed my eyes and thought about my whole self being healed. I know that I'll have scars but I am so hopeful that I can also have most of me after the surgery.

I keep replaying Dr. Heerdt over in my mind. And I keep hearing from friends and family how they were praying and meditating and wishing for this with me. It's helping - all that powerful and positive stuff is definitely helping me.
