Another Walker for the Cure

Look at Lisa! She walked in Knoxville this morning and wore my face on her shirt. Me in Fendi during chemo. Who has 2 friends in 2 cities walking the walk in their honor? ME! I have to admit; I'm all warm and fuzzy right now.

I have a feeling that next walk-season I may be justifying a multi-city US tour so that I can walk with each of you in PINK. Thank you , good friends everywhere, for lifting my spirits.

By the way, in advance of the Jenn-o-centric walking tour next Fall, I'll be doing a practice flight to ATL on Nov. 2nd - 4th courtesy of (well, really by force!) Cherie. She is a force to be reckoned with. But how do you say no to a weekend visiting friends and a first class flight? What exactly is there to say no to?

jenn and friends --

please forgive me for co-opting your blog for this post and you have requested content, right, plus there is the inevitable, haunting, perplexing, unanswered question, 'how did jenn get cancer?'

this linked article is most disturbing:

Tests reveal high chemical levels in kids' bodies

being that i am committed to becoming the change i want to see in the world, and have urged you, jenn, to also consider this possibility for you are blessed with a gift for expression in so many formats, below are links to two [2] documentaries available to view free of charge on the web that i think are crucial to the above question, i.e., how did ...

The Corporation and The Future of Food

The Future of Food documentary has been removed but the link above is to a one hour discussion with the film's creator.

The actual film can be viewed in 7 parts here: 7 parts to view FOF

and, i will leave y'all with this profound statement albeit paraphrased from sister joan "totally-rocked-the- audtiorium' chittister made during the summit on religion, conflict and peacebuilding at emory university this weekend with the dalai lama:

'the day will arrive when the people begin to lead and our leaders will have no choice but to follow.'

you are a leader, jenn webb, and i surmise that like attracts like.

may each of us become a beacon of light to effectuate monumental change.

it is humbling to see the images of those that walked in your honor.

namasté,
