I have had a few false starts with some blog posts. Got into something, got distracted, thought better of it... whatever. But today I thought I ought to make an entry. I'm on location at the Simsbury Public Library Children's Section. Bailey is grunting and growling with each puppet he finds. The other kids, all older, look somewhat bewildered. Oh well.
Maybe it's me. I'm not in my "Mommy Gear". The cammo pants made a comeback as it's pretty warm out today, I paired it with a black sweater and pink t-shirt, my "life is good" hat and slide on sneaks. I didn't bother with hair and make-up on my way out and I am clicking away on the laptop. Not exactly making friends posture. Again; oh well.
Last week I trimmed my hair all by myself. People are being kind and saying that I did a nice job on my second hair-cut (first time was the shave a la Britney Spears meltdown). Funny how my hair was feeling out-of-control as it grew back in. I have a feeling that if/when I decide to grow it out again in the future there will be some seriously bad-hair days. Sounds like a summer task when I can blame it on the pool, the beach, the hat... But for now I am enjoying the ease and look of short hair.
Everything seems so boring without the frantic holiday pace, without any appointments for a while, it's good.

I have the feeling that many people are out today since it's nice out and we've all been cooped up with the cold and snow. Maybe public exposure wasn't the best idea. ; )

MAYBE BAILEY ISN'T GRUNTING AND GROWLING, HE MAY BE REVVING UP HIS ENGINE.YOU KNOW, "MONSTER TRUCK PUPPETS". ENJOY THE JANUARY THAW, THE COLD WILL BE BACK SOON ENOUGH.LOVE YOU, DAD
my, my, my. if i were the betting type, i would wager big $$$$'s on how darn [<-- family blog] adorable you looked at the library.
conrats on the trimming of your hair!
so, this leads me to the inevitable question, ms. jenn, where the heck [again, family blog] would i be able to view such images you paint with vowels and consonants, hmmmmm?
now that i have cleared the air with you [playful laughter], it is a delight to "read" you and make note that you aver getting out and about.
what a great imprint for bailey's sub conscious to be exposed to an environment of literature, i.e., writings in which expression and form, in connection with ideas of permanent and universal interest, are characteristic or essential features, as poetry, novels, history, biography, and essays.
all the more significant especially when i feel that more and more we are iving in a society obsessed with inane text messaging, i.e., YW = you're welcome OR "RU OK?" is now acceptable as a bond fide inquiry.
me thinkest that my time in the bronchial infirmary the past month or so has left me crotchety YET thrilled to check your blog and learn from you that life goes on and with humor.
thanks for the entertaining post.
love,
~ c
