This morning I had my second treatment of Adriamycin (the red devil as it's affectionately known) and Cytoxan. When I get there I go to the lab where they check my blood counts, my blood pressure and pulse, and my weight. Then I wait to talk to the doctor who listened to my heart and lungs to make sure I was healthy. I am. My counts were nearly back to their pre-chemo levels. I was thrilled and my oncologist was pleased with how I was doing (staying active, having energy, eating).
Afterward Kevin and I met up with Jacqueline, Bailey, my folks, Kama & Claire at an organic pizza place here called FLATBREADS. DELISH. I'm so glad to leave the treatments hungry. The drugs that they administer for nausea work well for me. Knock on wood.
I feel good - I feel much more under control than the first time. So much less anxiety. And I fel so lucky to have so many people pulling for me. I appreciate it more than I could ever say.
