Quite Contrary

It was all "wah, I'm too hot" yesterday and today it's all "brrr, I'm too cold". Could I ever be happy? What a whiner. Jeesh. I think I need to get back into that knitting thing and make myself some cute Fall/Winter caps. Now this is not a request that any of you who knit make me anything. I actually do want to learn how to knit and when I said that a few years ago all of a sudden, everyone started making me scarves. They were beautiful, but honestly, if I said I was going to learn to knit, a scarf was about all I'd be capable of. So I put my bag of needles and yarn away. I'm sure it's here someplace in the land of forgotten art supplies.

Yeah, it's chilly here in Connecticut. I'm heating up some soup for lunch. I've got long pants and socks on. I'm not used to this yet after 10 years living in Atlanta. Has it gotten below 90 there yet? This summer was brutally hot down there. (I hope the day is prettier there for my friend & birthday girl.)

Thought it'd be useful to see that everyday junk still makes me whine. Cancer doesn't change everything you know. Although I am whining and laughing at myself for it. Go put on a sweater until my next hot flash and I'll be all set.

whiner my arse!

as is your wont, you engender such laughter within me that i may require the now [in]famous astronaut diapers whilst reading your witty recounting(s)!

as for heat, i just returned from las vegas. 98 degrees at midnight. as for me, today i will have lunch at canoe's, a place of special memories with you, while visually drinking in the lush, verdant beauty of the South and simultaneously hoisitng a glass of bubbly so that i might "toast" to your Parkeresque wit and your inherent, inimitable pluckiness.

you are simply too damn adorable! promise me you will never change, ok?

love,
