A girlfriend of mine sent me a hot-pink cap with a lighter pink embroidered ribbon on the front. It's cute and girly and part of breast cancer awareness month. So, being that it's October I wore it today when I took the kids to Michael's on a quest for birthday party craft supplies for Saturday. I made it through the whole store to the check out lane without any comment about the hat (as I would have expected) and then one of the cashiers asked me where I got it. I told her that it had come to me from Atlanta, 'Publix I think'. She told me that she was from Florida and her son was down there, maybe he could get her one ... yeah, yeah ... then she added "Seven year survivor" with a big grin. I answered "Congratulations. I'm at about 7 months." I am working on the idea that I count from the date of the diagnosis - but who knows what the protocol is? - anyway, I lifted up my cap and showed her my super short hair as I said good bye.
"I love your hair!" she smiled and we were off.

THE PINK HAT IS MUCH MORE TASTEFUL THAN MY SUGGESTED "DUFF BEER" HAT, I ALWAYS LIKED YOUR STYLE. MOO---DAD
I like that story. Glad to see how well you're doing.
