Thursday is my 8:30am appointment with the radiation oncologist. It's listed on my six-week schedule as a simulation. I'm planning to simulate driving to the UCONN Health Center and simulate parking in the Silver spaces I have a permit for. Then the machine will simulate a "zap session" for me and I can simulate driving home. It'll all be the real thing on Friday.
Friday never seems like a good day to Start something to me but, this is how it's been scheduled. It'll be fine and one more day closer to DONE by the weekend.
I'll be back home from the whole thing and sipping my coffee at my usual time - 9:30 - getting Bailey geared up for his morning nap. One of my special angels is coming to watch Bailey while I'm gone. Jacqueline will be in school and this whole thing should go largely unnoticed by her. I think it's better that way. We aren't keeping it a secret, but it doesn't need to be in her face either.
Here I am, gearing up for this third portion of treatment. Ready. Well, almost ready. Putting my cammo pants in the washer right now.
