Explorations

The time is ripe for me to consider my next steps in designing a life that I want. The gears are spinning and little things are happening. I'm redesigning my website, I'm considering professional options, and even considering graduate school (who'd'vethought?). I reached out to friends and colleagues, a former professor and hope that in my scattered approach, I find some rewarding prospects. It may appear unfocused, but I find that I need to spread out my attention. Do I want to be "artsy-fartsy" hand-made cards and frames - not exclusively. I have a lot of experience in broadcast that I can put to work. A lot of design, web site design, print... a lot of paintings in my mind that need to come out... a photography thirst that needs quenching... I have a feeling that Bailey will be my photography assistant this spring.

Why should we limit ourselves with definitions? Did you buy any Yogi tea? You will most assuredly get the tea bag fortune "You Are Unlimited". I love that one.

So there I am ready to go to the library again. Opted to wear jeans over cammo but I do have on a super-cool rock band t-shirt just for a little something in the outfit.

land ho, jenn "christopher columbus" webb --

your heading, 'explorations' jumps right off of the page!

this in turn led me to seeking out famed women adventurers of the world. i could find nary a one, in the sense of exploring ala columbus, byrd, de gama, ponce de leon, etc.

what i did happen across was this site, Female Explorers featuring two great quotes:

"I want to do it because I want to do it. Women must try to do things as men have tried. When they fail, their failure must be a challenge to others."--Amelia Earhart

"I've never found my sex a hinderment; never faced a difficulty which a woman, as well as a man, could not surmount; never felt a fear of danger; never lacked courage to protect myself. I've been in tight places and have seen harrowing things."
--Harriet Chalmers Adams

all of the aforementioned is in response to your inquiry, 'why should we limit ourselves with definitions?'

yes, to yogi tea as i have been drinking it for age thanks to "obi-wan-guerrero" bringing it to my attention. the detox is my fave as it tastes great while ridding my kidneys and liver of my "jenn" & tonics, champagne, etc. all of which is imbibed in the course of my celebrating YOU! [laughing]

so, margaret bourke-white of connecticut, have a grand adventure, especially with bailey as your apprentice. i am soooo lQQking forward to the photo's and the paintings and the broadcast design and ...

and, on that note, jenn, could your eyes be any more expressive or gorgeous?

much love,
~ c
