And of course, I am a little tiny bit interested in what will be happening with health care under the new leadership. I wasn't happy with either side really so maybe a better plan will evolve moving forward.
On my insurance: I did receive the glove from the "in network" provider. It was such a rigmarole (is that not a perfect word for this?).
RIGMAROLE
1. ridiculously complicated process: an irritating, tedious, or confusing sequence of tasks, especially tasks that seem unnecessary or absurd
But I have it and it appears to be helping. I still have to wrap my arm at night because the compression garments are too strong to wear overnight. They could aggravate lymph edema. Great. But at least during the day the glove and sleeve are helping. My fingers even look more like fingers again than brat wursts. It really bugs me because I always had fine hands: thin wrists, long fingers and to see them as "man hands" is so unfair. But I hope that I continue to improve, that my remaining lymph nodes can pick up the slack and that the condition will be more manageable going forward. See, I am trying to remain positive. C'mon, there's a lot to make up for. As my southern colleagues might have said "Put some lipstick on that pig". That's a lot of lip stick.
